Libby x Sir Litter—Four Weeks Old

Pictures taken on Tuesday, July 18. The pups are four weeks old.

They have started becoming interested in things other than momma. They are taking quite an interest in each other, and in me. When I call, "PUPPIES!" (in a bit of a falsetto voice), they wake up immediately and scramble for the "door" of the puppy pen. I've found that this has been enforced because I'm supplementing them several times a day, and all their meals are still happening in the kiddie pool…. So they know that the person with that strange call is their buddy who brings good things to eat. <grin> The pictures below were taken outdoors, where it is over 100 degrees today. I took three pups at a time outside, so they weren't out long. Despite the shade, they were all VERY grateful to get back inside.. Next week, we'll begin acclimating them more to the heat so that they'll be ready for their forever homes.

The first hints of individual personalities have begun to show. Stuart is the first to bark at strange noises. Zach is more interested in playing with me than in eating. Erica is a clown and often bounds around in circles. Thaddeus is a charmer and quite a little stinker. Jackson likes to look you directly in the eye. We are really having lots of fun playing with them, petting them, and watching their antics.
